When I asked people to critique my first and second draft it went from them kinda looking over, it giving some complement and pointing out a few spelling mistakes. Not all that helpful if I had to grade their critique skills. When I wrote my second draft I had the opportunity to have an author read and critique my writing. When I walked in to had her see my work I was shaking a little by the fact that I still felt that my story was incomplete. While reading my story she would openly voice her thoughts on it like when it was funny she laughed or when the story transition into something more serious her face became more solemn. Afterwards she pointed out spelling and grammar correction by crossing word out, rewriting them as we talked. It was a very uplifting conversion because she like my story and was very curious as to what happen next.
We also got to share our story's with a group of class mates, I cried on the first share it was so powerful. It motivated me to find an ending to my personnel narrative and I got a lot of good advise for example someone suggested to share what I was thinking while these thing were happening. At this point Ms. Hood-Esparza sent us out into others advisory's to share our story, I got a seniors class. I remember how I was shaking the entire time and how I never looked up from my paper not once. It was a nerve raking experience but I felt that it let out all my nervous so it was easier to share my story. We had a second group critique not as helpful as the first but it still improved my narrative.
